This leading London University seeks to expand its teaching of games with the appointment of 2 full time and part time, senior lecturer and lecturers.   • To effectively develop and deliver high quality, innovative and engaging teaching on academic programmes in the games area.
  • To support the delivery of University & School strategy through contributing and engaging in relevant plans and initiatives.
  • To engage in research, enterprise, knowledge transfer and/or professional activity to inform teaching practice and enhance the reputation of the university.

The following duties and responsibilities are intended to give a broad indication of the variety of tasks that a Senior Lecturer may be expected to undertake.


  1. Design, develop, deliver and assess innovative teaching materials across a range of modules, programmes and courses in the subject area at undergraduate level.
  2. Collaborate with colleagues, management and industry on the development of existing and new programmes with the view of continuous improvement.
  3. Marking/assessing tasks, assignments and examinations and providing timely and constructive feedback to students.
  4. Respond to student feedback and take action as appropriate.
  5. Develop teaching strategies, materials and assessments which are inclusive and appropriate to the student population.
  6. Act as the module/programme leader, taking responsibility for allocated programmes/modules, Module content, and coordinate activities, resources and assessments.

Research & Knowledge Exchange

1. Develop, sustain and implement a personal research and development plan in consultation with your line manager and/or School senior management.
2. To undertake research, publication and scholarly activities and contribute to the general research life and activities of the School.
3. Contribute to knowledge transfer and dissemination of research findings and advance the academic debate in the area of expertise.

1. Contribute to university activities, particularly those intended to enhance the student experience and improving attainment gap.
2. Participate and actively engage in university activities, including Open Days, school meetings, committees and assessment boards.
3. Participate in and develop external networks, for example to contribute to student recruitment, secure student placements, and facilitate outreach

The University seeks candidates with a good first degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline and a postgraduate qualification and/or significant relevant professional experience including significant component relevant to your discipline but will consider those with good recent experience of lecturing or working in the games industry.
