Games Designer with Mathematic background
We are known for the creativity, innovation and the quality of our Slots, Bingo and Casino games. We seek to further develop our offering through a range of games that will push industry boundaries and provide the exceptional experiences our players expect from us. We are now looking for a Game Maths Designer to develop and optimize the mathematical models that make our games a success.
Key Accountabilities

  • Develop, maintain, finalise and document game design requirements, in collaboration with Games Mathematicians, Games Producers and Games Prototypers.
  • Excellent in completing calculation sheets and C++ simulations of complex mathematical models
  • Creation, management and optimisation of game math documents. Ensure they are synchronised with the game during and after development
  • Program prototypes to visually represent the game model
  • Brief model requirements to artists and developers
  • Verify back end implementation of mathematical models
  • During the development stage, keep track of the project progress, liaise with project managers, mathematicians, prototypers and key stakeholders to ensure the original vision is executed to an excellent level under agreed budget and timelines.
  • Collaborate with project managers and lead artist to produce the game
  • Analysis and reporting of games performance and player behaviour
  • Drive innovation for future game design
  • Keep an eye on, in collaboration with the Games Marketing Executive as to the current trends in social casino, real casino industries and other medias


Skills & Experience:

  • Ability to write and maintain game design documentation to an excellent standard
  • Understand what makes a game appealing and fun to play
  • Able to assess the market, trends and marketing insights
  • Able to take responsibility for organising work within the production schedule, managing files and meeting deadlines
  • Strong understanding of time and priority management
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Deadline-oriented, but still flexible
  • Able to work as part of a team and under own initiative
  • Able to mock up ideas on paper and digitally
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or Statistics (or equivalent experience)
  • A strong understanding and experience of probability theory
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and problem solving abilities to solve a variety of problems in an accurate and timely manner
  • Must be self-directed and able to work independently as well as part of a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment in order to meet multiple deadlines
  • A passion for gambling or gaming and its surrounding theories and models
  • Good knowledge of gaming products
  • An advanced user of MS Excel, comfortable creating and adapting large and complex spreadsheets
  • Solid interpersonal skills in dealing with individuals from a variety of disciplines.
  • Prototyping skills using Unity, Construct, Flash, HTML/Javascript or similar
  • Experience with C++ or similar to help develop simulations or more complicated math models
